Posting a Video - help!

So I want to post some videos of my little boy before and after the vaccine injury, as well as some videos of feeding him GAPS food early on. I could also post some videos of him now, after 21 months on GAPS.

I have not got a clue how to do this. I DO have a YouTube account, but my username is my name. I have tried to keep my name and my children's names out of the story. It is becoming increasingly difficult to do this.

Some people post pictures, give names, tell all. I would love some insight into all of this. I would love some feedback about being private verses being open. I chose not to share the names of my children so that I could be completely honest about who we are and what we are going through, without putting my children in danger of being identified by their friends. I do not wish to risk posting anything that could harm their reputations down the road.

If I post videos of my son, I know it could benefit many people, but his name and the names and faces of my other children are in the videos. If I reference my blog on YouTube or if I reference the videos from my blog, then all anonymity goes out the window. What might be the longterm ramifications? I wonder. I will need to ponder this and pray about it.

What I can say is that my children are different now and that is one of the reasons for keeping a blog to document this healing journey. No one should judge my kids for who they were when we started this journey, but for who they are. However, we are not always known to do as we should. Hmm. The things that make you go, "hmm".

  1. Hi there,

Just getting a chance to update my 'Support' page. So glad to see you so active still in both GAPS healing and the blogging world!

About your question here, how about using a pseudonym for yourself (including YouTube accounts, etc) and referring to your children only as Child 1, Child 2, Child 3 (easier to remember than three more pseudonyms)?

    All my best,
    Baden

  2. I know that another mother posted before and after videos and they were SUPER inspiring! It really helps people to see what gaps can do and helps those of us who are struggling to keep going. I have read your entire blog and I know I would LOVE to see the changes in your son. But I also understand your hesitation. I have a blog and I have put up tons of pictures and our names. But I never reveal our problems, I just put up the fun, happy stuff. I don't know if I have the courage to reveal our problems, struggles and heartbreaks (which are many) like you have. I admire you so much for it. I can't thank you enough for your blog. It has helped me GREATLY. It helped and prepared me for gaps! We've been on it for 3 months!. You are truly one of my biggest heroes! I believe God will guide you in the right direction. Much love, Suzy

  3. Baden,

Thank you for your suggestions. Always lovely to hear from you. I think I will have to figure out how to get another e-mail address so I can open a new account with a pseudonym. I need some serious tech help. I'm sure it is easy stuff, but I have no idea what I'm doing. I admire you for the way you have organized your story, experience, info, and everything GAPS in such a helpful way to bless so many people. I am excited for you and hopeful (praying, too) for you to be helped and supported for all you do in service of others. You are very generous and loving. You are an amazing woman!

  4. Suzy,

I am so blessed by your encouraging words. I do hope to figure out a way to post some videos that will encourage others and lead others to find healing for their children. I pray many others would be led to post some videos, too. I am trusting God for the right timing. My husband has given me his ok on the matter. We shall see.
